How do I book a parking spot?
Booking a parking spot is quick and easy! 1. Enter your destination: Simply input the address of your destination in the LetsPark app. 2. Choose your parking spot: LetsPark will provide you with three options: the closest option, the most affordable option, and our most recommended option. 3. Select and book: Choose the option that best suits your needs and proceed to book your spot securely through the app.
Can I extend my booking if I need more time?
Yes, you can extend your booking directly through the LetsPark app. Before your booking ends: You can easily extend your parking session within the app. During your booking: If you need more time, you can extend your reservation while you are still parked. After your booking ends: Unfortunately, extending a booking after it has already expired is not possible.
Can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking through the LetsPark app. Cancellation Policy: Free cancellation up to 15 minutes before the booking start time. A 30% cancellation fee may apply for cancellations within 15 minutes of the booking start time.
What happens if the parking spot is not available when I arrive?
If the parking spot is unavailable upon your arrival, please contact our customer support immediately within the app. We will investigate the issue and work with you to find a suitable resolution, which may include: 1. Finding you an alternative parking spot. 2. Providing a full refund for your booking. 3. Compensating you for any inconvenience caused.
Is it free to list my parking space?
Yes! Listing your space on LetsPark is completely free. LetsPark takes a 25% fee on every booking once the renter has paid.
As a Host can I change my availability?
Yes, you can easily adjust your parking space availability. Simply log in to your LetsPark account and update your availability schedule within the app. You can set specific days and times when your space is available for rent.
What if a driver overstays their booking?
If a driver overstays their booking, follow these steps: 1. Contact the driver: Reach out to the driver through the LetsPark in-app messaging system and politely request that they vacate the space or extend their reservation. 2. Report the issue: If the driver continues to overstay, report the issue through the 'Dispute and Resolution' section within the LetsPark app. Our customer support team will investigate and take appropriate action. 3. Contact local authorities: If necessary, you may contact local authorities as the overstaying vehicle may be considered a violation of local parking regulations.
What type of parking spot may I lease out?
You can list a variety of parking spaces on LetsPark, including: - Driveways: Residential driveways are a popular option for hosting. - Garages: If you have available space in your garage, you can list it on the platform. - Small lots: Small, private parking lots that you own or manage can also be listed. Important Note: Ensure that the parking space is legally and safely accessible for parking.
Do I have to pay tax on the income I earn from LetsPark?
The first $600 you earn in a year through LetsPark is generally tax-free. After earning more than $600, you will receive a 1099-K form from LetsPark, which you will need to report to the IRS. Are listings verified?
Yes, all listings on LetsPark undergo a verification process. This includes: 1. Photo verification: Hosts are required to submit photos of the parking space. 2. Ownership verification: Hosts may be required to provide documentation of ownership for the property where the parking space is located. Note: While we strive to ensure the accuracy of all listings, verification does not guarantee that every listing is completely error-free.
How does LetsPark handle disputes?
LetsPark has a dedicated dispute resolution process to address any issues between drivers and hosts. If a dispute arises, we encourage both parties to attempt to resolve the issue amicably through the soon-to-come in-app messaging system. If a resolution cannot be reached, please report the dispute through the 'Dispute and Resolution' section within the app. The LetsPark team will investigate the matter and work towards a fair and equitable resolution for all parties involved.
